Hobby greenhouse growing:

A Hobby Greenhouse can be both relaxing and rewarding for both enthusiasts and professionals alike.

Greenhouses have grown in popularity for the plant enthusiast who has grown out of room in their houses – indoor gardening and greenhouse gardening are very similar, and pretty much follow the same principals.

Once you have been bitten by the propagating bug the extra room will be appreciated.

My wife has been so supportive, at first as the plants begun to take up more and more room she expressed her concern. But now she waters them for me when they are dry. I don’t think that she would ever admit it, but I think she likes them almost as much as I do.

A greenhouse is a greenhouse:

Whether one decides to build their own greenhouse using a well designed set of greenhouse plansor a commercial manufactured source, hobby greenhouses provide year-round enjoyment for those who love growing plants.

Limitless growing opportunities:

It doesn’t matter what the reason is that you have found yourself at this site, you will soon find out that a whole new world has opened - the world of the greenhouse. I first began looking into greenhouses for my bonsai trees.

I soon found myself amazed at the opportunities that presented themselves:
  • gardening throughout the winter months
  • growing vegetables year round
  • propagation (cuttings, seeds, air layering…)
  • orchid growing
  • annuals
  • bonsai
  • or any other special plant of your choice.

Sustainable Living:

Another reason that greenhouses have been growing in popularity is that people desire to live a “green” lifestyle. Growing fruits and vegetables for your family in your own backyard, saves the health of your family and the health of the earth. The distance that our produce travels to reach our tables is amazing.

Once you are growing your own healthy fruits and vegetables you may want access to a few healthy recipes, and green living tips. You can find them here at Healthy Green Lifestyle

“Give a man a fish; you have fed him for today. Teach a man to fish; and you have fed him for a lifetime” – Author Unknown

That quote sums it up in a nutshell. What could be saved if we could provide our own food? The answers are really endless.

I like this quote too:“Give a man a fish; you have fed him for today. Teach a man to fish; and you have fed him for a lifetime. Teach a man to sell fish and he eats steak.” – Author unknown

I like that, kind of funny. Many people have decided to turn their hobby greenhouse growing into a side business, for many professional growers this is exactly how they started out.

Keep the plants in mind:

A greenhouse can be a part of your home in the form of a sun room or porch. Greenhouses should always be designed with the needs of the plants that will be grown.

Greenhouse Kits:

Using a greenhouse kit may be the ideal for some growers. It’s best to know as much as possible about all the options available before choosing the “right” decision for yourself.

Be sure to visit the Greenhouse Kit page as well as the Greenhouse Plans and Projectspage to learn more about the different options available.
