Geodesic Dome Greenhouse: Video tour and detailed set-up of this gardening oasis.

List of what I saw in the video that they are using to run their Geodesic Dome greenhouse:

1. Exhaust Fan: Pulling warm air from the North side of the Greenhouse to the South side (***note: usually it is the South side of the greenhouse that has the most heat as this is the side that receives the direct light).

2. Exhaust Fan Vent through the garden beds – warming the routes of the plants. Great in promoting healthy growth, this technique also allows the greenhouse to store heat in the growing beds. 3. Fan – used to circulate the air.

4. Thermostat – connected to the fan, so that the fan kicks in at a certain temperature. For proper Greenhouse Temperatures CLICK HERE

5. Automatic Vent opener – oil powered vent that can be set at a certain temperature to open the vent and window.

6. Exhaust/Vent opening – shown at the end of the video. This will be opened in the summer time, to keep temp. down.

Aquaponics:

They also have a fish pond set up for Aquaponics.

Although I am sure that they aren’t eating the Koi, the pond will supply their Greenhouse Garden with plenty of Nutrient rich water.

I also noticed in the video at around into the video that they have the pond used with a Hydroponics set-up.

This set-up is pretty impressive.
